- Blanch green beans in a large stock pot of salted boiling water for 2 minutes only. Drain and place ice water to stop from cooking for 2 additional minutes.
- Take large clean towel or paper towels an pat gently to remove excess water before cooking.
- Heat a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Add the oil. Add the beans and saute until coated in the oil, cook for 3 minute and add garlic cloves, red pepper flakes and cook 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Discard after 5 days if not eaten.
