Touch Down Tequila-Lime Wings
These Baked Tequila Lime Chicken Wings are the best way to elevate your wing game! They are tangy, crispy and infused with a touch of heat heat. Perfect for any party, and they'll quickly become your new favorite appetizer!
Ingredients
- 1 cup silver tequila
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (4 limes)
- 1.5 tbsp hot sauce Franks Red Hot
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 1 tsp lime zest
- 3 lb chicken wings
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1.5 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
- 1.5 tsp tajin classic seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Place the chicken wings in a resealable plastic bag and place in a large bowl. Zest 1 lime an add to wings.
- Add tequila, lime juice and hot sauce to wings. Seal bag, place in a large bowl an marinate for 2 hours in refrigerator or overnight.
- Line a large baking sheet with paper towels. Place wings on sheet and pat with several paper towels until completely dry. Damp wings will take longer to cook.
- Add dry wings to a large mixing bowl. Pour oil over wings, mixed together until completely coated. Add tajin classic seasoning, garlic powder, salt, black pepper. Toss the wings with the ingredients.
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper, lay the wings on the tray so they do not touch each other. Bake, flipping the wings halfway through, until cooked through (165F on thermometer) and beginning to brown, for 30-40 minutes.
- Cut 1 lime in half, squeeze over hot wings. Plate wings on platter of choice, sprinkle with chopped cilantro and add your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes
- TIP** If not in a hurry, follow directions in step #4n an place wings on clean paper towels and back in the refrigerator (bottom shelf) to dry out for 3 hours or 5 hours.
- For crispy wings, spray a baking rack with oil to prevent the chicken from sticking to the rack and place wing on after.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
